Access Provider Disk Report Visitor Comments

"Every once in a while, while waiting for a page to come up I'll take one of these discs and peel off the label. I wish the labels that come in the boxes of discs I buy would stick half as well. I have noticed that Compuserve's gum is not as hard to pull lose as AOL's. I have not had anything from Prodigy for so long that I cannot remember how hard it was to peal off their labels." --Bob, Feb. 25, 1996

"America Online "Canada" - 7 disks this week!!! P.S. Nobody wants them either, "free" 10 hour trial costs us the equivalent of $36US $52CAN. Some deal, eh?" --Dave, Feb. 24, 1996

"I now keep my piles instead of giving away/throwing out. Whenever I see Steve Case (we are, on occasion on panels together at conferences), I now give them back to him" --Alex, Feb. 17, 1996

Ah, the sweetest revenge!

"Thank you so much for your timely and informative report. Several cyberless friends and associates have tried to give me their AOL disks they received in the mail. Although they have the best of intentions, I have to explain that they are peddling junk mail. Now with your report, I have the hard facts to back up my claim." --Karen, Feb. 8, 1996

Always glad to be of service

"Maybe it's because I have my own domain name, or maybe it's because I've moved 5 times in the last 4 years, or maybe it's because I don't buy any PC software or magazines (except Linux Journal, but that's probably not high on their marketing hit-list), but I have *never* received a single AOL disk in my life....So am I lucky or unlucky?" --Paul, Jan. 30, 1996

Perhaps lucky, but certainly a marked man now. AOL beats the FBI when it comes to tracking down those on its most wanted list.
